La rivista telematica PLJ – Phlebo-Lymphology Journal è edita dalla Libera Accademia di Medicina Biologica, Direttore Responsabile Edmondo Palmeri iscritto nell’Elenco Speciale dell’Ordine dei Giornalisti di Sicilia, ed è interamente dedicata alla Flebologia, alla Linfologia clinica e alla Medicina Estetica, discipline che oggi assumono un ruolo sempre più rilevante nella vita di milioni di persone nel mondo. Le patologie venose e linfatiche non riguardano solo l’aspetto estetico, ma hanno profonde implicazioni in termini di benessere, salute e qualità della vita.

Con un approccio scientifico e aggiornato, PLJ offre uno spazio di approfondimento che raccoglie articoli, comunicazioni convegnistiche, atti e contributi di esperti, con l’obiettivo di stimolare lo studio e la crescita professionale dei lettori.

About us

The online journal PLJ – Phlebo-Lymphology Journal is published by the Libera Accademia di Medicina Biologica (Free Academy of Biological Medicine), with Editor-in-Chief Edmondo Palmeri, a member of the Special List of the Sicilian Order of Journalists. It is entirely dedicated to phlebology, clinical lymphology, and aesthetic medicine, disciplines that today play an increasingly important role in the lives of millions of people worldwide. Venous and lymphatic diseases are not only aesthetic but also have profound implications for well-being, health, and quality of life.

With a scientific and up-to-date approach, PLJ offers a space for in-depth analysis that brings together articles, conference papers, proceedings, and expert contributions, with the aim of stimulating readers’ study and professional growth.

Our mission

To inform and update doctors, specialists, and healthcare professionals on new clinical evidence
To disseminate knowledge regarding traditional and innovative treatments resulting from research and advanced technology

In recent years, interest in phlebology and lymphology has grown significantly, leading to the creation of dedicated study groups and specialized clinics for venous and lymphatic disease.

PLJ – Phlebo-Lymphology Journal aims to be an authoritative point of reference in this scenario.

Promoter and member of the Ordine dei Medici di Palermo Professional As- sociation Commission for Polemologi. Promoter, organiser and speaker at courses, conferences and congresses in the field of phlebology and lymphology. Founder and Vice President of SIFe, the Italian Society of Haemodynamic Phlebology and Lymphology. Former editor-in-chief of the popular science magazine Beneinforma.it.

Bernardini Eugenio

MD. Haemodynamic phlebologist. Former lecturer in Uni- versity Specialisation Courses in Phlebology and Phlebology- Lymphology at the Universities of Camerino, Naples and Palermo. Founder and President of SIFe (Italian Society of Haemodynamic Phlebology-Lymphology). Director of the European Centre for Haemodynamic Phlebology and Postural Biomechanics accredited by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Competency Degree in Phlebology (2nd level) certified by the European Board of Phlebology.

Bernardini Marco

Biomedical Engineer. Expert in Biomechanics and Posturology. Head of the Human Movement Analysis Labora- tory. Centre for Phlebology and Postural Biomechanics in Li- vorno. Lecturer and speaker in courses and master’s degrees in posturology and phlebology at the Universities of Rome and Naples. Author of scientific publications on postural alterations and haemodynamics of the lower limbs, assessment of functio- nal damage in the medical-legal field. Member of the Biome- dical Commission of Livorno.

Bonfiglio Biagio Innocenzo

MD. Specialist in General and Vascular Surgery. Former co- director of the Advanced Course in Phlebology at the University of Messina. Head of the Angiology and Phlebology Department at the “G. Martino” University Hospital in Messina. Promoter and member of the Phlebology Commission of the Messina Me- dical Association. Head of SIFe (the Italian Society of Haemo- dynamic Phlebology and Lymphology) for the Region of Sicily.

Coşkun Evrim

MD, Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Faculty member at the University of Health Sciences Faculty of Medicine and Head of Clinic at İstanbul Çam and Sakura Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital, one of Türkiye’s leading rehabilitation centers. President of the Scoliosis Research and Treatment Association and member of the Turkish Lymphedema and Lipedema Society. Editor-in-Chief of the Turkish Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Associate Editor of the Journal of Academic Research in Medicine (JAREM)

Patton Laura

MD. Specialist in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases. Co-Vice Chair, Italy Chapter Lymphatic Education & Research Network. Director of the Italian Lipedema Academy. Regional Manager for Trentino-Alto Adige SIFe Italian Society of Hae- modynamic Phlebology and Lymphology.

Rial Rodrigo

Specializing in angiology and vascular surgery, he served as president and vice president of the Spanish Chapter of Phlebology and Lymphology (CEFyL) of the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery (SEACV). He is the author of over 50 scientific publications in international medical journals (such as Annals of Vascular Surgery) with a focus on endovascular treatments and color Doppler ultrasound. He is the Treasurer of the WUIP for the 2025-2029 term.

Ricolfi Lorenzo

MD. Specialist and Expert in Lymphology – Co-Chair, Italy Chapter Lymphatic Education & Research Network – Lecturer at the International Vodder Academie – Founder of Accademia Lipedema Italia. Founding member of SIFe Italian Society of Haemodynamic Phlebology and current member of the Board of Directors and Secretary.
